Hi there,
My goal is to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where individuals can reconnect with themselves, process their pain, and begin to move forward with hope.
I’m a Certified Grief Counseling Specialist and I work with young adults and adults who are struggling with grief and loss, depression, anxiety, and life transitions.
My approach to therapy is rooted in compassion, honesty, and human connection. Grief isn’t something to “fix” or rush through—it’s a deeply personal process, and I’m here to create a space where you can honor your experience, feel what you need to feel, and move at your own pace. I utilize a blend of talk therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, art therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches to help you process through pain and begin to rebuild meaning.
When I was younger I endured my own experience with traumatic loss. This loss has shaped my commitment to supporting others through life’s challenges with a realistic, warm, and empathetic approach—whether they're navigating grief, stress, life transitions, or personal growth. After experiencing loss, my path to becoming a therapist began with a volunteer role at a children’s grief center, where I witnessed firsthand the profound impact that empathy, presence, and connection can have on those navigating loss and trauma. That experience became a turning point for me—igniting my passion for holding space for others during their most vulnerable moments.
When I am not working, I make space for self-care by slowing down, staying present with my family, and recharging in nature whenever I can. I enjoy spending time with my husband and our son, kayaking, going to sporting events and concerts, and being anywhere near the water. I believe in the healing power of connection, storytelling, and even laughter—yes, even in grief and life challenges. My role isn’t to give you a roadmap through life, but to help you find your own footing and voice through it all. When you are ready to talk – I am here to listen.
Education: I received my Master’s degree in Professional Counseling from Central Michigan University in 2018.
