Hi there,
I believe therapy is not about “fixing” you — it’s about helping you reconnect with your own strength, insight, and resilience.
I’m Christy a Licensed Master of Social Work with a deep commitment to creating a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space for healing and growth. I work with individuals struggling with eating disorders such as anorexia, bulimia, or binge eating disorder. I also work with people struggling with anxiety, depression, OCD, family issues, and life transitions
My approach is collaborative and grounded in evidence-based practices like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), relational cultural therapy (RCT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and mindfulness-based therapy. My goal is to tailor these therapies to meet your unique needs and goals.
Clients often tell me they appreciate my warm, down-to-earth presence and my ability to hold both humor and depth in the room. Whether you're facing a crisis or simply feeling stuck, we’ll work together to move toward more clarity, connection, and inner peace.
In previous experience, I worked as an intern and then therapist at a residential facility specifically treating eating disorders. I also developed a virtual intensive outpatient program (IOP) and facilitated group therapy for people struggling with eating disorders.
When I’m not in session, you can find me hiking local trails, curled up with a good book, or teaching my 2 cats how to play fetch. I also enjoy traveling, cooking new recipes, and hanging out with family.
I received my master’s degree in social work (MSW) from Western Michigan University.
