Hi there,

Being human is hard — and you don’t have to do it alone.

I’m Emily, a therapist who helps teens, adults, and couples navigate big emotions, life transitions, anxiety, and depression with compassion, curiosity, and practical tools. Whether you’re facing a major change, wrestling with persistent self-doubt, or feeling overwhelmed by emotions that feel too intense, you deserve a space to be seen, supported, and strengthened.

My approach is grounded in evidence-based practices, especially Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and shaped by a deep respect for each person’s story. I integrate trauma-informed, strengths-based, and person-centered techniques to help you build emotional resilience, improve relationships, and move toward a life that feels aligned and meaningful.

My Catholic faith is an important part of who I am and how I show up in the world — it grounds me in purpose and compassion. At the same time, I deeply value and respect the diverse beliefs (or non-beliefs) that shape each person’s worldview. I work with people from all spiritual backgrounds, including those who don’t identify with any particular faith, and I strive to create a space where your values, identity, and story are honored.

Becoming a mother has also profoundly shaped how I approach this work. It’s deepened my understanding of resilience, presence, and the power of showing up — even when things are messy. It continues to teach me about vulnerability, patience, and the courage it takes to keep trying — and I bring that same spirit into the therapy room.

Outside of work, I’m usually with my husband and our young son, who keeps us laughing, learning, and moving at full speed. Our family loves spending time outdoors — going for long walks, exploring new parks, and embracing the chaos of everyday life with as much presence (and good humor) as we can manage. I’m a lifelong learner who finds joy in books, podcasts, and deep dives into whatever topic I’m curious about that week. I love slow mornings with strong coffee and try to soak in the small, meaningful moments — a belly laugh, a good question, or the light coming through the window just right. These quiet practices of noticing and reflection remind me daily of what really matters — and they shape the kind of space I hope to offer my clients: grounded, thoughtful, and always open to growth.

If you're ready to explore what healing might look like for you, I’d be honored to walk alongside you.

I received my MSW from the University of Michigan and I am licensed in both Michigan and Florida.
