Hi there,
I am the founder and lead therapist at Center of Hope Counseling. With over 30 years of experience in the field of counseling, I have dedicated my career to helping individuals navigate life’s most challenging moments. After 15 years of clinical practice, I developed a deep passion for supporting individuals struggling with eating disorders, and has since pursued extensive training in the treatment of eating disorders and co-occurring conditions, including anxiety, depression, and body image concerns.
Our commitment to excellence has been recognized with several honors, including being named Best Counseling in Mount Pleasant for seven consecutive years. I was also recently named an Honored Member of Top Doctors of America and recognized by Who’s Who in America for my expertise in the field of Mental Health Providers.
My long-standing vision of offering comprehensive, collaborative care became a reality when I founded Center of Hope in 2016. The practice emphasizes individualized therapy, and integrative case coordination with medical professionals and registered dietitians to provide holistic support for our clients in their healing journey.
In my clinical work I lean heavily on techniques based in Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, tailoring my approach to the individual needs of the client in front of me.
When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with my husband, sons, and our two dogs. I cherish weekends on the lake and trips to Northern Michigan, where I can relax and connect with extended family.
I graduated from CMU Counseling Education Program in 1993 after previously completing my undergraduate degree in Psychology from University of Michigan in 1991.
