Hi there,
There is incredible value in telling your story, and thinking about what has shaped your thoughts, feelings, and worldview. I want to be your support as you gain the knowledge and confidence you want to live as your genuine self.
Counseling work has been calling me for quite some time. Life has shown me that my own experiences with trauma and breaking cycles of generational patterns of abuse, addiction, and trauma, can be used for helping others in more ways than I could have ever imagined.
My professional background spans juvenile justice, child welfare, court administration, non-profit administration and substance use disorder treatment. I have been honored with 20 years of trust from individuals and families who are navigating the most difficult moments of their lives. With each experience, the same theme has been true. So many people are mislabeled, misunderstood, or overlooked, often never being seen for their incredible strength, resilience, and humanity.
My work as a therapist is grounded in a simple belief: we are far more than the worst thing that has happened to us or the hardest season we are walking through. We all have a story!
At the center of everything I do is a belief that our most difficult experiences can become the foundation for our greatest growth. My goal is not simply symptom reduction. It is helping people rebuild meaning, identity, and break the cycles that have held them back so they can change the trajectory of their life, and the generations of lives after them.
Much of my passion comes from my own life experiences and the people I have worked alongside throughout my career. I have witnessed firsthand the impact of generational trauma, addiction, abuse, identity struggles, and systemic barriers.
When I am not in the counseling office you can find me public speaking on related topics I am deeply passionate about as well as spending time with my family.
I have a Bachelor’s in Child Development from Central Michigan University and I am currently completing my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Davenport University.
